Dining / Catering and Entertainment Options::

The Castle dining room has seated up to 25 guests, and the open-plan Coach House has hosted events (including intimate family gatherings and weddings) for up to 70 guests seated. For larger groups (up to a max. of 150 guests) marquees may be erected on the grounds.

You’re on vacation, so who says you can’t have your food prepared for you for at least some of your stay! Why not have a professional chef come in and cook your breakfast, maybe prepare a packed lunch to take out with you while you tour around, and even have a lovely cooked dinner ready for you in the evening.

We know that catering is very much a matter of personal taste, so for your occasion we can give you an array of catering contacts to meet your preferred menu and budget. You can engage them at whatever level of preparation you choose, ranging from where they can deliver the food to the Castle for you to cook/heat/finish off and serve yourself, all the way up to to serving you at the table, and everything in between. Whatever you want, you can get!

Many of our guests have their very own Banquet at the Castle with some local traditional Irish musicians and/or a story-teller to entertain their group and teach them about Irish folklore, music, dance and traditions …. all easily arranged and guaranteed to be the highlight of your trip.

Need an Event Planner? Are you trying to do everything from abroad and prefer to have a local helping hand? Again, we can help make that easier with some suggested help options. You can be hands-on and do it all yourself, or leave it to a local person who can handle all the plans and arrangements on your behalf.

Ballyhannon is not licensed under the Liquor Licensing laws which means that you are most welcome to bring your own or have your caterer do so without incurring corkage charges.

While we at Ballyhannon Castle do not provide or get involved in catering ourselves (or indeed, in any services, apart from helping you arrange musicians and storyteller) and providing our unique accommodation that will in itself set your occasion apart), our ‘á-la- carte’ list of local providers will make your event exactly what you want it to be, and you are not limited to the likes of what hotels permit or provide themselves (see our Booking Information and Terms & Conditions document).
