The Titanic

So much for ‘the luck of the Irish’ when it came to the Titanic!

Did you know that it was built and launched on its maiden voyage from Ireland, and from the shipyard of Harland & Wolff in Belfast to be precise.

That fated epic journey of the R.M.S. Titanic carrying 2223 passengers when, in the early hours of April 15th 1912, it went down claiming 1517 lives in the freezing waters.

Take a guided trip around the harbour, and visit the dry docks from where the Titanic first hit water and get a sense of the sheers scale of these enormous ships.
